The Perfect Power SMT8Y is the most advanced piggy back engine management system on the market to date. The SMT8Y works with the existing Engine Control Unit (ECU) to provide the perfect fuel and ignition for your engine, delivering maximum power, better fuel consumption and enhanced engine response. The SMT8Y operates in synchronization with the standard ECU to perfect the engine’s efficiency with its large 3 dimensional tune maps.
Our SMT8Y does not interfere with the original ECU’s internal programming. When a SMT8Y is installed, it will synchronize itself to the original ECU and together they will provide a perfect tuning solution for your engine.
The SMT8Y is the first Piggy Back product from Perfect Power aimed at the "Do It Yourself (DIY)" enthusiast. The SMT8Y is similar to its other SMT8 stable mates, but has more help, more detailed manuals and a new feature called ‘Profiles’. It is very easy to install yourself and the unit will prompt you through a Step by Step installation process. Even with minimal engine and electronic skills, you will have the basic installation complete in minimal time. The SMT8Y can also do the more advance requirements, such as Boost control and Lambda tuning to mention a few. The SMT8Y has been years in the making and uses the best Perfect Power design and engineering practices to finally produce a high quality product that we are certain you will be satisfied with.

Extended Warranty:
The SMT8Y comes with a normal 1 year warranty. The Extended Warranty is for a total period of two years and is bundled with the Reflash option. This will allow you to periodically receive firmware updates so as to ensure that your SMT8Y always has the latest operating system. Under “Related Products”, select the “Extended Warranty” product option. At "Check Out", make sure it is an item in your shopping basket.
